Skip counting
Skip counting is counting while skipping a number or numbers in between. It is also called jump counting or group counting.
Skip counting by 2
When we skip a number in between while counting, it is called the skip counting of 2, as shown below on the number line.

In skip counting by 2, we add 2 to every number.

2 + 2 = 4
4 + 2 = 6
6 + 2 = 8
8 + 2 = 10, and so on.
Skip counting by 5
When we skip 4 numbers in between while counting, it is called the skip counting of 5, as shown below on the number line.

In skip counting by 5, we add 5 to every number.

5 + 5 = 10
10 + 5 = 15
15 + 5 = 20, and so on.
Skip counting by 10
When we skip 9 numbers in between while counting, it is called the skip counting of 10, as shown below on the number line.
