Learning Checklist

  • Cardinal and ordinal numbers
  • Number names for cardinal numbers
  • Number names for Ordinal numbers

Cardinal Numbers

Cardinal numbers are the normal counting numbers like 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.

They are used to count objects.

They help us know “how many” in a group!

Ordinal Numbers

We use ordinal numbers to tell the order or the position of the objects.

Like 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.

It’s like saying:

  • Monkey is the 1st.
  • Giraffe is 2nd.
  • Lion is 3rd.

They help us know “which one” in a group!
