How to Read Decimal Numbers?

  1. Start with the whole number.
    • For example: In 32.125 , start by saying “thirty-two”
  2. Say “and” for the decimal point (never say “point” in formal math reading). So, the name continues thirty-two and”
  3. Read the digits after the decimal together, followed by the correct place value name. 

    • For Example, “”
